New Jugs on my Guzzi

Postby Nate Russell » Tue Feb 02, 2010 6:41 pm

I have started a new project--installing new Cylinders, Pistons, Rings and wrist pins. I also am having my Cylinder heads cleaned and tuned up.
The reason for doing this? Original Cylinders came with a chrome lining that can become a real problem over time as the chrome may peel off and cause major damage to the engine inards. Problem is, you never know when this might happen but I am assured that it WILL happen.
New cyliders have a nikasil lining that is good for many miles.
I went for a good ride yesterday before beginning this job. All goes well with parts turn-a-round I should be up and running again very soon.
